Medical madness: Your doctor’s office may require you to list your “current gender identity” and “sexual orientation” before getting treatment.
It’s happening now in Massachusetts – and probably other places.
And they want “social justice” information about you that has nothing to do with medicine.
June 6, 2019
A few weeks ago, a woman in central Massachusetts went to her regular doctor’s office for a routine checkup. But this time, she – and the other patients who came – were told to first fill out a bizarre form.
Starting off, she was told to list her “current gender identity,” her “sex assigned at birth,” and whether she is gay, bisexual, or straight.
They also wanted her to answer a variety of other unusual and intrusive questions such as her her annual income, family situation, and housing status.
The sheet says at the top, "We are required ... to collect data each year about the patients we serve." Data? Note that it doesn't say that this data is required, or if it's a legal requirement. We couldn't find any state or federal laws (yet!) that mandate this.
The doctor’s office isn’t located in a nutty left-wing part of Massachusetts such as Cambridge or Provincetown, but in a fairly conservative region. The state Senator there is a Republican.
Welcome to the Brave New World of politicized medicine: incorporating the anti-science, radical LGBT agenda into health care. It’s coming to a doctor’s office and hospital near you. It has been marching through the medical profession for well over a decade. Like the rest of left-wing ideology, LGBT doctrine allows no disagreement. The movement is brutal toward those who disagree with its clearly anti-scientific mandates.
Back in 2015, Dr. Paul Church, a prominent urologist in Boston, was fired from several major hospitals for simply questioning one hospital’s support for “gay pride” activities and observing that homosexual behavior carried a high risk of medical problems. It became an international news story, but the hospitals refused to relent.
Doctors routinely tell patients that smoking cigarettes is a deadly habit that should be avoided. But now they are required to tell patients that homosexual behavior is “natural” and should not be discouraged at all.
MassResistance’s 600-page book, The Health Hazards of Homosexuality (2017), documents the wide range of dangerous medical problems and mental health issues associated with homosexual behavior (and a brief chapter on the transgender phenomenon). It should be required reading for medical people.
“Transgender medicine”
In the past decade we’ve also seen so-called “transgender medicine” sweep through the medical world. In many ways, this is even more dangerous because it requires doctors to make life-altering medical decisions based on a completely false premise brought on by a mental illness. Yet, major hospitals across America actually cater to these politically correct fantasies.
Dr. Michelle Cretella, executive director of the American College of Pediatricians, tells the truth about this. Gender identity, she has explained, is a very real threat to modern health care.
It’s one thing for us to, as physicians, treat the person with respect and honor their name change, but it would be a complete malpractice to treat them as the opposite sex.
A man on estrogen is not a woman. Medicine is at the point now where we understand that men and women have -- at a minimum -- 6,500 genetic differences between us. And this impacts every cell of our bodies – our organ systems, how diseases manifest, how we diagnose, and even treat in some cases.
Dr. Cretella says there is nothing any of us can do to change our binary, biologically-determined-at-conception sex - and that treating people differently based on their feelings isn’t just harmful but deadly.
MassResistance warned of this trend early on
Back in 2007 when MassResistance warned about the efforts to normalize transgenderism in the health care industry, most people didn’t take it very seriously. That year the Massachusetts Department of Public Health began mandating the concept of “special care” for “LGBT” patients. The state would thus label a health care professional who didn’t agree with transgender ideology as “transphobic.”
The government has only gotten worse on this issue since then. If the federal “Equality Act” (HR-5) were ever to pass, it would mandate similar “non-discriminatory” policies for medical practices and hospitals nationwide.
Fighting back
We must all fight back against this. Don’t go along with it!
Even if every doctor and hospital in the country were to buy into it, it doesn’t change the truth: It’s insane and destructive.
The woman at the doctor’s office gave the form back and refused to fill out any of it. Luckily, they still let her see her doctor.
And we hope that responsible physicians will behave like Dr. Cretella and Dr. Church – and push back!
Please help us continue to do our uncompromising work!
Our successes depend on people like you.
Your support will make the difference!
