Ballot Questions

Governor's Council

Mass. Senate

Mass. House

GOVERNOR AND LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

48%  D -*DEVAL PATRICK AND TIM MURRAY

42%  R - CHARLIE BAKER AND RICHARD TISEI

8%  I - TIM CAHILL AND PAUL LOSCOCCO

1%  G - JILL STEIN AND RICK PURCELL

This is a tough one to call.

Republicans Baker and Tisei are probably the most anti-family, pro-homsexual, and pro-abortion GOP gubernatorial candidates in America. Baker told the Boston Globe that he is "to the left of Barack Obama on social issues." The list on them goes on and on. Read our report here. They are not only supporters, but enthusiastic supporters of these things.  (They are endorsed by the national Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Victory Fund.)

On the other hand, there's no question that Democratic Governor Deval Patrick and Lt. Governor Tim Murry are public supporters of the entire liberal agenda, including the homosexual and abortion mevements. But interestingly, Patrick did not include ANY of the homosexual lobby's financial requests -- including money for the gay programs in schools -- in either of his two state budget proposals. It was all put in by the Legislature afterwards. And Patrick actually vetoed some of it.

Independent candidate Tim Cahill (Loscocco has left the ticket) is "officially" pro-choice and pro-gay "marriage".  But he's backed away from that direction considerably (they're no longer mentioned on his website) and we wonder if he was ever very enthusiastic about it. When we talked to him, he made it a point to mention that he did NOT march in the Gay Pride Pride (unlike Partick and Baker) and that he is endorsed by MFCL. Although he's in with unions, he's stood up to the Mass Teachers Association. He's currently the State Treasurer; his office once fired a guy for putting up an ex-gay poster in his cubicle. He's been to Tea Parties and he seems willing to at least work with social conservatives, unlike the others.

What should you do?  If Baker and Tisei are marching with radical homosexual groups like "KnowThyNeighbor" before the election, you can bet that these groups would have free reign in a Baker/Tisei administration -- and pro-family groups would be completely shut out.  And Republicans have more to "prove" to those lobbies. Plus, they would neutralize any opposition left in the Republican Party to these agendas, especially in the schools. In our opinion, things might be worse under them than Patrick.

All three of them are, on paper, pro-gay "marriage" and pro-abortion, and all oppose Question 3. Personally, we are leaving this race blank. But if you must pick one of them, consider voting for Tim Cahill. He's unquestionably the lesser of the 4 evils, so to speak. But don't vote for Baker and Tisei.

ATTORNEY GENERAL

63%  D -*MARTHA COAKLEY, Medford

37%  R - JIM MCKENNA, Millbury

Martha Coakley is a hardcore anti-family pro-gay activist, and uses the Attorney General's office to push her favorite leftwing causes. Here's our report on Coakley when she was running against Scott Brown for US Senate. Jim McKenna impressed everyone by getting 27,000 write-in votes to get on the ballot. (The ineptitude of the Republican party not fielding a candidate is astounding.) He got the backing of many pro-family groups, and we thought he started to go soft. This past week he was on the front page of the homosexual newspaper Bay Windows telling them, "I pledge I won’t work to change the law when it comes to social issues like same-sex marriage and abortion." But he's since told MassResistance that he never spoke to Bay Windows. This was apparently done without his knowledge by his RINO staff.

SECRETARY OF STATE

65%  D -*WILLIAM GALVIN, Boston

55%  R - WILLIAM CAMPBELL, Woburn

  3%  U - JAMES HENDERSON, Stow

Secretary of State Bill Galvin is reportedly pro-life. He seems to run things pretty well, though we do have some nit-picks from time to time. But Bill Campbell is on the ball, has some pretty good experience, and would probably be a perfect guy to take that over.

TREASURER

OPEN SEAT: Incumbent Tim Cahill is running for Governor

55%  D - STEVEN GROSSMAN, Newton

45%  R - KARYN POLITO, Shrewsbury

Steven Grossman is a hardcore leftist elitist from Newton who's the darling of the gay movement. Karyn Polito gets a 100% rating from NARAL so we couldn't give her a green rating. But besides that, Polito is first-rate and we'd REALLY rather have her watching the state's money -- and making decisions -- than Grossman.

AUDITOR

OPEN SEAT: Incumbent Joe DiNucci is retiring.

48%  D - SUZANNE BUMP, Great Barrington

46%  R - MARY Z. CONNAUGHTON, Framingham

  5%  G - NATHANAEL FORTUNE, Whately

Suzenne Bump proudly marches in the Gay Pride parade and is proud of her support of same-sex 'marriage'. Besides that, she's basically another hack Democrat politician. Mary Connaughton has actually been an auditor and has a record of fiercely defending the taxpayers interests against fraud when she was on the Mass. Turnpike Board, and she also goes to Tea Parties!
