Intro & Key

Statewide: Gov, Lt Gov, etc.

Congress

Mass. Senate

Mass. House

Ballot Questions

Governor's Council

GOVERNOR AND LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

OPEN SEAT: Incumbent Deval Patrick is not running for re-election..

48.5%  R - BAKER and POLITO

46.6%  D - COAKLEY and KERRIGAN [PP, NARAL, MEQ, SD]

  3.3%  I - FALCHUK and JENNINGS

  0.9%  I - LIVELY and SAUNDERS

  0.8%  I - McCORMICK and POST

Watching this bunch debate anything is like watching a Democratic primary. We don't have to tell -- again -- you how bad they all are, including the Republicans. Except for Scott Lively who is so refreshing in his pro-family candor and fearlessness. On paper, none of the Independents are close to winning. But if you vote your principles and want to make a strong statement, he's the one to vote for. More on Charlie Baker here. More on Scott Lively here.

ATTORNEY GENERAL

OPEN SEAT: Incumbent Martha Coakley is running for Governor.

62%  D - MAURA HEALEY, Boston [PP, NARAL, MEQ, SD]

38%  R - JOHN MILLER, Winchester

This is not a fun choice. Maura Healey is an "out" lesbian activist who appears to be just as aggressive in her anti-family militancy as her curent boss in the AG's office, Martha Coakley. Miller is a nice guy and probably a good lawyer, but thinks that all the horrible things we have to endure (gay marriage, abortion, etc.) are "settled law" and not to be challenged.

SECRETARY OF STATE

67%  D - *WILLIAM FRANCIS GALVIN, Boston [MCFL]

29%  R - DAVID D'ARCANGELO, Malden

  4%  G - DANIEL FACTOR,  Acton

Secretary of State Bill Galvin is reportedly pro-life. However, we're supporting him because in our opinion he runs that agency in an extremely compent and fair manner. Over the years we've had to deal with them a lot on important things and we've had good experiences unlike at other state agencies. If he hadn't advertised in Bay Windows, we'd give him a green. From what we've heard from D'Arcangelo he's not very impressive and we're not sure he'd run the department well, frankly.

TREASURER

OPEN SEAT: Incumbent Steve Grossman ran for Governor but lost in the Democratic primary.

55%  D - DEBORAH GOLDBERG, Brookline [SD]

41%  R - MICHAEL JAMES HEFFERNAN, Wellesley

  4%  G - IAN JACKSON, Arlington

Among other things, Heffernan supports the "United Nations principles on sustainable investing" and the casino gambling law. This doesn't inspire confidence.

AUDITOR

58%  D - *SUZANNE BUMP, Great Barrington [SD]

38%  R - PATRICIA SAINT AUBIN, Norfolk [MCFL]

  4%  G - M.K. MERELICE, Brookline

Suzenne Bump proudly marches in the Gay Pride parade and is proud of her support of same-sex 'marriage'. Besides that, she's basically another hack Democrat politician. Patricia Saint Aubin is actually an auditor, not a pretender, and has a history of supporting pro-family issues. She would also be far more competent in that office.
