Mass. Attorney General to be keynote speaker at fundraiser for radical transgender groupMajor Boston law firms also sponsoring eventPOSTED: April 2, 2011Some day no one will believe this actually happened. But it is happening now! The MTPC has also been a very active member of the Massachusetts Commission for Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Youth, which uses taxpayer funds to push transgender programs in the public schools K-12. "Lawyers for Transgender Rights"If your aim is to force transgenderism, cross-dressing, and related behaviors into society by force of law, what better group to cultivate (besides politicians) than lawyers? (Especially if you can get otherwise intelligent lawyers to buy into this lunacy, which is another issue.) Billed as "Lawyers for Transgender Rights," this event is more than just a huge fundraiser. Lawyers for Transgender Rights is a cocktail reception and silent auction event that brings together lawyers, law students, law firms, legal organizations, bar associations and law schools to network and build support in the legal community for MTPC's important work on behalf of transgender rights. The inaugural event last year drew 250 attendees. A who's who of the Boston legal communityWhat is truly frightening is the list of major Boston law firms and legal organizations sponsoring this event. MTCP's web page brags: The 2011 Lawyers for Transgender Rights Event is sponsored by Bingham McCutchen, WilmerHale, Hirsch Roberts Weinstein, Ropes & Gray, Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge, McDermott Will & Emery, GLAD, Day Pitney, Goodwin Procter, Mintz Levin, Foley Hoag, Harvard Law School, Joan M. Fund, Esq., Greg Price and M. Barusch, Mass. LGBTQ Bar Association, the Law Office of Joyce Kauffman, Ari Kristan & Suzanne Adamczak, Wilson Marino & Bonnevie, Patience Crozier and Jessica Keimowitz, and a number of other organizations and individuals (the full listing is available at www.masstpc.org/ltr). The legal profession has lost its collective mind. Unfortunately, as we saw last November, the Republican Party had no interest in running anyone against her, and only meagerly supported the Republican candidate, Jim McKenna, who managed to get on the ballot as a write-in. Do we really get the government we deserve? |
