MassResistance working with members of Congress for greatest impact from Kevin Jennings Online Petition

The recent resolution before Congress to remove Kevin Jennings filed by Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) as well as the Letter to Barack Obama signed by 53 congressmen, submitted by Rep. Steve King (R-IA), are a great start toward getting Kevin Jennings removed.  The next step is mobilizing people behind our online petition.

This needs help from people across the country to make it happen. Our online petition to remove Kevin Jennings could be crucial.

MassResistance has contacted the offices of Rep. Burgess and Rep. King. They were both pleased that we are helping mobilize this support. They've encouraged us to gather as many names as possible. And over the next several weeks we're going to work with them on the best way to leverage this before Congress and the White House -- and make this happen!

We must get as many people as possible to sign this! Please spread the word. Make your voices heard!

It's gaining momentum. After gathering over 1000 signatures the first 24 hours, we ran into some technical issues (we think) with our web provider and had to move the petition page to another host. That set us back a bit. We're now back in operation and already have over 5200 signatures after two weeks! And even though it's not widely publicized they're still coming in a steady stream from around the country.

Please publicize this as widely as possible. (And sign it!) This will also help INFORM people about this outrage - many people still don't know!

The fact that Barack Obama continues to support Kevin Jennings is beyond outrageous. It borders on being demonic that a man like that has a prominent position in the Department of Education affecting kids across the country. Let's put the pressure on and get it stopped!
