Culture clash: Boston newspapers pushing 'transgender' pronoun use in news story
But readers aren't buying it

The transgender theme just won't stop.
On May 8 a subway driver was text messaging and crashed the train, injuring 62 people and causing $9 million in damage. This week the driver was arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court.
But there's more. The subway driver, Aiden Quinn, acts and dresses like man but is actually a woman. In fact, when this story broke, ABC News reported that despite Quinn's bad driving record, including several tickets, she was an affirmative-action hire because of being a "transgender!"
As ABC.com wrote:
Quinn was originally hired as a part-time driver by the MBTA under the name Georgia Anne Quinn. In 2007 he was hired for a full-time position from a lottery of minority candidates. He was granted minority status as a self-described "female-to-male transgender," two sources told ABC News. Quinn lists his sexual orientation as "FTM."
"[Quinn] was initially hired as a minority and used her transgender status,'' an MBTA source said.

There was also speculation in the press that Quinn's hormone treatments to "become" a man may have had a role in the accident.
Aiden Quinn is a female. She may dress like a man and have a "girlfriend" but she's a female. However, the Boston media continues to play this Orwellian game with its readers by only referring to her as "he".

Readers aren't buying it
The reader comments at the end of the articles are pretty revealing, particularly the Herald in this case. People know the truth, and they know that the media is whitewashing it for political correctness. Although comments are pretty crude in some places, maybe that reflects the anger of people that they're being treated like fools by their newspaper.

It's necessary that people tell the truth, especially at a time when lies permeate society. This gender issue is a particularly insidious situation. Our laws are about to be changed on the basis of politically correct lies and disinformation. As we've said before: Without truth there cannot be freedom.
